Dems Support Lawsuit Against DHS to Stop Border Fence

Today, Democrats forced through Congress a bill to hand out $50 billion over the next five years in foreign aid to Africa. The Majority leadership denied Rep. Weldon the opportunity to offer an amendment to scale back the size of funding in the bill. Over the past five years, U.S. taxpayers have provided over $15 billion to help combat global AIDS. Earlier this year, President Bush proposed doubling the spending, to $30 billion over five years.
